SEW open studio: Monday, November 11th

About the Open Studio
SEW open studio is designed to provide a space for you to sew in community while getting help on your sewing project when you need it! Let’s trouble shoot together!
During the 3 hour session, I’ll be available to help you through any cutting and sewing related questions as you work on your own project.

*Please note you must bring your own machine. There is limited space to cut fabric so it's recommended to bring your project already cut out, though if you'd like to utilize the cutting table please do so:) In addition, the space has 2 iron stations, 2 sergers, and various tools for marking, measuring, and ironing.

I recommend bringing a project you’d like help in some way, whether you’re just getting started, working through a tricky step, or need some motivation and encouragement on finishing!

This session will be focused on sewing techniques, not on pattern alterations or drafting.

Some examples of what I can support you on:
✿ Sewing terminology and understanding sewing instructions
✿ tips for marking and pinning fabric
✿ sewing machine basics
✿ zippers
✿ buttons and buttonholes
✿ seam finishes of all kinds
✿ and more:)

Who should take this workshop?
✿ Adults 18+
✿ Anyone with a sewing machine! Wether you're a beginner who’s new to sewing and requiring guidance on sewing basics, an intermediate sewer learning a new technique, or an advanced sewer wanting to work amongst fellow sewers:)

What you should bring/ what is included?
✿ Please bring your own machine, your sewing project, and any additional notions you'll need (sewing pattern, fabric, thread, zippers, buttons, etc)
✿ 2 Sergers, 2 ironing stations, and an assortment of tools such as scissors, chalk, and pins will be available to use
✿ Coffee, tea and treats will be provided as well:)

Instructor

Date and Time
